Ordering and Timescales

A memorial can be erected on a grave six months after the burial has taken place due to the ground movement, if cremated the memorial can be installed immediately as the ground would not need time to settle.

How long will my order take?

Memorials that we have in stock can take approximately 12-16 weeks to manufacture and fit.

The timescale starts once deposit is received and paperwork/application to the council will be carried out by our friendly advisors on your behalf.

We endeavour to complete your order as fast as possible but there are some factors which we have no control over, such as shipping and council permit times, this means that we may have some delays on some orders and some memorials can be erected before the timescale.

If you have ordered a bespoke memorial, it is likely that the order time will exceed the 12 week timescale. In this case one of friendly advisors will contact you too keep you up to date.

Payment terms

If order is placed through the website, payment will be taking in full this doesn't include the permit fees and delivery charges. This would be paid separately. Our staff would contact you to discuss the permit.
If you decide to pay by bank transfer or cash we would then take a 50% deposit plus the council permit fee, once the work has been complete we would request for the remaining balance to be paid.

Our experienced team will guide you throughout the process, from choosing a memorial, contacting the cemeteries/local authorities for the permits and helping you to decide the verse you would like on your  chosen  memorial.

Materials & Finishes

Granite is the best and most durable stone to use on memorials  because each stone varies in complexion and can withstand the British weather.  Granite comes in a vast array of colours such as black, red, blue and green.

The natural beige Yorkshire stone is suitable for most churchyards and cemetery as it a unique memorial that will be a fitting tribute for your loved ones.

Marble  Carrera

Carrara marble is a type of white or blue-grey marble popular for use in sculpture and building decor. It is quarried in the city of Carrara in the province of Massa and Carrara in the Lunigiana, the northernmost tip of modern-day Tuscany, Italy. This stone is not permitted for use in churchyards.

Fonts and colours

The standard font we use is Century Schoolbook as standard with a gold finish,

other fonts and colours are available on request.

Renovation & Cleaning

Our stonemasons have gained many years of experience cleaning and renovating memorials up and down the country.

When we renovate memorials they are fixed to the current BRAMM regulations which involves using stainless steel dowels and ground anchors to support the memorial.
